It's really a unique show, where else can you park your car on a space shuttle landing field?

NASA and the USAF will display and or fly most of their Edwards inventories.

USAF
flying and static displays: B-1, F-22, F-35, B-52, F-16, T-38, KC-135, C-12
Flying only: C-17, KC-46
Static only: C-5, RQ-4, X62 VISTA

NASA
Flying/static: F-15, F-18
Flying only: ER-2

High altitude supersonic drag race between NASA and USAF.

Thunderbirds almost an afterthought in this crowd.

Fun fact: according to a 416 Test Sqn pilot I met at ETAD they will drag the SR-72 Darkstar on static.
This bird seems to to be still in one piece and hangared on Edwards.

This is more like a mockup, right? I am not really into prototypes of test aircraft, but Google tells me this design never flew.

Well, I am planning on being at Edwards, and I would love to see it, even if it is just a mockup.

For what it is worth, I've read that the mockup was filmed at China Lake, and nobody online seems to have a credible idea of it's current location. Off course, there is plenty of time to move it to Edwards.

Oh, I was talking to the Brits from 17SQ at Miramar (they brought a F-35B). They were not 100% sure, but they were confident they would have some presence at the Edwards show (plane, booth or both).

It certainly was filmed at China Lake, on the southern apron which is away from the main ‘VX-‘ area.

Back at the last Edwards show in 2009 the Danes displayed their JSF test support F-16, so I would like to think the Brits will be able to display something. Just to be on the safe side, I made sure to get photos AND swag at Miramar.
