Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Re: NAS North Island NZY Nov-Dec 2022 MIL
Yah, I'm glad they finally got around to putting SOME paint on them!
Speaking of finally, I myself have been spending some free time processing pix. Working backwards, but here are some more from the beach.
Rudy 24 on scanner and ADSB
FRCSW bird
Sadly, not all Scorch birds have tail paint
First decent photo I've gotten of an E-2D with the refueling mod. Still haven't figured out if FRC or factory is doing the mods.

Ospreys 1 Dec-7 Dec
Osprey 10 on the scanner, making me think this was a delivery flight
Rudy 33 with a unpainted rudder
First time I've seen 2 come in together
Rudy 24 (on scanner) with the interesting clouds in the b/g
DC-20 low approach!

Re: NAS North Island NZY Nov-Dec 2022 MIL
Growler Parade 1 Dec-7 Dec
VAQ-139 all 7 birds arriving from Whidbey for airwing deployment aboard CVN-68
VAQ-133 from Lincoln airwing participating in SUSTEX
VAQ-129 -- visitors 3x/4x a year for CQs
If you look closely, all 3 birds have different loadouts
3x ALQ-99 pods, 2x drop tanks, 1xHARM, 1xAIM-120
I guess they never misplace their drop tanks
Wizards with their semi-new tail art (...and WHAT is the backseater wearing? It's not a flight suit)
Wild Boar tail art, 390 ECS USAF

Non jet propelled 1 Dec-7 Dec
Clearly they have some military connection, or they wouldn't be allowed to land
Somebody was speculating on the Indian birds last month, at least 1 of them is still here

Re: NAS North Island NZY Nov-Dec 2022 MIL
Thanks, guys. The Nimitz deploying and the Lincoln's exercise gave a nice boost to the daily ops tempo. The weather mostly helped, too.
