Having just checked the AMI website, I notice the dates have been changed to the 17-18th June.

16th is for invited dignitaries and personnel families only I think. Also seems that no international participants either, only Italian modern and historic aircraft. Bit of a shame really as hoped there would be some nice overseas participants.

On the sky of the military airport of Pratica di Mare, a short distance from Rome, a large air show will take place, open to the public with free admission. The event will be broadcast live on Rai1 and will be an opportunity to illustrate the operational capabilities of the Air Force through its peculiarity, flight, through displays of past and present aircraft. A unique event, during which it will be possible to "experience" the Air Force in all its organizational and capacity nuances."

In my opinion the Italian Air Force Past and present has enough material to fill a complete weekend....

F-104 Starfighter to Fly at Italian Air Force Centenary Airshow

A rumor has been floating around Italian aviation enthusiast circles for quite some time,
but now we can confirm it.

At the 100th Aniversary Italian Air Force Airshow, on June 16 – 18, 2023,

the mighty roar of a Lockheed F-104 Starfighter
will once again thunder across Italian skies as it once did for nearly half a century.

Cape Canaveral-based Starfighters Aerospace will provide two of its four former Italian Air Force F-104s for the event!

This special event will be made possible by the cooperation between the Italian Air Force and Starfighters Aeropace,
the company founded by former U.S. Navy and Continental Airlines pilot, Rick Svetkoff.

The company maintains a fleet of Lockheed F-104 Starfighters from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center
and operates under authorization from the Federal Aviation Administration.

The aircraft are available to government and commercial customers for a variety of missions.

No spotter option with reserved area on 17-18 on 16?
What is the best hébergemente solution? from Rome and public transport or Promezia and bus shuttle?

I'm staying in Central Rome but, without a car, I'm struggling to find how I can get to the show by public transport. I thought I read that there would be a shuttle from a train station but I can't find anything. I've found a bus from a Metro station but they are one an hour, might be a bit crowded! I've asked the Air Force, they just sent me a list of car parks!! Anybody got any ideas?

Wnt many years ago by public transport. Was terrible. A long walk.. Better take a taxi or rent a car/scooter..
