Re: Air Defender 2023
The evening C-17A for Jagel should be 98-0056 from 144th AS/Alaska ANG. Not very often seen in Northern Germany.
Re: Air Defender 2023
Today two F35's with callsign Cube51/52 flew from Burlington/VT to Keflavik, ARA support was RCH270 KC135R 59-1461 [AE0626].
I guess another flight did the same, with support of RCH272 KC-135R 57-1514 [AE058B], but so far i couldn't find them on ATC.
With one NH ANG KC46A at Keflavik, and one at Geilenkirchen slated to depart to Keflavik tomorrow i would say the VT's will arrive at Spang within the next few days.
Pieter,

Re: Air Defender 2023
Have just moved posts about confirmed arrivals to the respective airfield topics.
Happy hunting and again a big thanks to all for the great co-operation here.
Erik
- Please post any serials that have reached Germany for AD23 in those specific airfield topics/subforums.
- Expectations and trans-Atlantic movements are still welcome here.

Re: Air Defender 2023
The 2 VT F-35s did not divert into Lakenheath. They were planned in. It is a long way from Keflavik to Spangdahlem.

Re: Air Defender 2023
1258NM ground distance as the crow flies... Too long for a Lightning?

Re: Air Defender 2023
Ha ... yes I know but as you'll be aware they were "Supposed" to be tanked but there were issues. Lakenheath was only a route diversion to cover problems like a tanker or IFE.

I assume there won’t be any flight activity in the weekend? Just want to be sure…

I'd say keep an eye on ADS-B and judge for yourself, probably some AMC traffic for the build up.
Rome has Bufalotta, Arizona has alotta BUFF..

Fighters, no. But e.g. Wunstorf is open during the weekend(s), check the NOTAMs in the respective topic.TimoBrouwer wrote: ↑02 Jun 2023, 13:15 I assume there won’t be any flight activity in the weekend? Just want to be sure…
(I stand corrected, see post by Oscar on the next page)
