La Ferté-Alais airshow 28 May 2023
I last attended the La Ferté-Alais airshow in 1995 so it was due time to head down south again and check out the 50th edition of this show. The weather was perfect and after having walked around for a bit my friend and I found ourselves a spot close to the end of the runway.
The flight program started at 12:45 and lasted until 18:15 without any breaks.
I made a selection of the many aircraft that took part in the show and I show them more or less in the order they flew in.
Before the actual start of the flying program you could join air baptisms with a choice between Boeing Stearmans and a T-6.
1. T-6G F-HLEA US Army
Early days and WW1 aircraft:
2. Caudron G3 F-AZMB
3. Deperdussin Type T F-PDEP
4. Fokker DR1 F-AZVD and F-AYDR
5. Fokker DR1 F-AZVD
6. Both Fokker DR1's and RAF SE5 F-AZCN and F-AZCY after their dogfight display
7. RAF SE5 F-AZCN and F-AZCY
Marcel Dassault aircraft of old and new:
8. MD311 Flamant F-AZKT
9. Three Aeronavale Rafale M's serial 6, 35 and 40
10. Buddy buddy refueling
11. Rafale M 35
12. Rafale M 40
13. Rafale M 40
Tora Tora Tora - the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour with 12 T-6 aircraft playing the Zero role:
14. Three US Navy Boeing Stearmans had just landed when the 'Zero's' dropped their bombs
15. T-6 F-AZBQ
16. T-6 F-AZVN and three of his buddies
17. Tora Tora Tora
Patrouille de France:
18. Entering the circuit
19.
20.
The Dream Viper F-16 solo display of the Belgian Airforce
21. F-16 FA87
22. The only display aircraft today using flares
23.
Luftwaffe and WW2 aircraft:
24. A lot of Helga's looking for Herr Flick and General von Klinckerhoffen
25. Ju-52 F-AZJU
26. Nord 1101 F-GMCY
27. Pilatus P2 F-AZCE
28. C-47 F-AZOX and two spits team up
29. C-47 F-AZOX
30. Spitfires G-SXIV and F-AZJS
The Asian theatre and Baa Baa Black Sheep:
31. AD4 F-AZHK
32.OV-10 Bronco F-AZKM
33.Two 'Zero's' F-AZRO and F-AZZM
34. 'Zero' F-AZZM landed in quite a hurry showing puffs of smoke coming from the exhaust
35. T-28B F-AYVF
Luftwaffe:
36. C-130J 55+03 in loose formation with two T-28's
37. A nice view for the loadmaster
Rafale C solo display:
38. The code for this Rafale is 4-IR. I could not find a matching serial anywhere
39.
ALAT display:
40. SA.342 4142
Pilatus P3
41. P3 D-EPCI
I hope you like this selection.

Sure I like.
It's a nice collection, in a very nice show.
I guess it's still underestimated.

Possibly ex-Mont de Marsan Rafale C (if it was transferred to Saint Dizier) 113/F-UHIR, as the tie-up of the military F- registration is fixed but the base code is not.
