A bit of a vague question....just for curiosity.
My sister was on holiday in the French alps and while walking over a mountain ridge, she heard a rumbling noise and was then surprised to see two fighter jets flying through the gorge below her. She told me she could clearly see them from above.
Has she discovered a French version of the Mach loop/Rainbow Canyon or is there a well known LFA somewhere in the French alps? I don't recall to have ever seen pictures of such an LFA in France.

However, the area she saw the jets is not indicated on this map as an LFA. I got some more details from her. She walked a trail on the 'Col de la Coulette'. If you draw a line from Grenoble to Nice, it would be roughly halfway. No LFA there on the map.

In Frankrijk mag op heel veel plaatsen laag gevlogen worden. Heeft niets met laagvlieg routes te maken. Ooit weleens uitgezocht. Dat ze over de rand van de berg duiken het dal in en bij de volgende berg weer gebeurd heel regelmatig. Dat heb ik al regelmatig gezien. Mijn mooiste herinnering blijft toch wel 3 mirages 2000 die laag boven het meer van Annecy een bocht terug namen. Wat een geweld tussen de bergen.
