Seoul ADEX 16-22 October 2023
The bi-annual Seoul ADEX show is running this week (16-22 Oct 23).
Monday 16th started off with the rehearsal for the show opening on Tue 17th.
The Koreans certainly love their 'smoke', since many jets get to bolt on smoke generators, which does not help identifying the birds.
Having gone through my shots of 16th October I will try and do an opening bid:
Para drop w/smoke and flags - 95-181 C-130H brought them up
Indigenous UH helicopter designed from the Cougar aka Surion (2x5 - numbers complete)
KUH-1 20145 20120 22163 21144 20121
MUH-1 20011 21015 21016 21017 18003
Black Eagles with their T-50s (1-8 which does not help); they have "Alliance for the Future - 70 years" markings on their tails, celebrating 70 years of US-S-Korean ties
Opening
003 KF-21 KAI (their new F-35 look-a-like, for Korea and Indonesia)
E-7 formation

Re: Seoul ADEX 2023
Both Andovers have been on strength of the local CN235 squadron for many years now…. The latter squadron is an Airlift Squadron since the designation ‘Tactical’ was dropped, you’ve guessed it; many years ago This goes for all CN235/C-130 transport squadrons of the ROKAF.

Thanks for the log.
US Army UH-60M 063 will be 19-21063, a known resident with 2-2nd AVN.
Can you confirm that 18-20999 still wears yellow "DMZ stripes" please?

Did you mean 064 as I have 19-21063 in the log already? Scramble D Base has 064 still on order so if that is confirmed as 2-2 Avn that would be appreciated.

Hi Andy,AndyMarden wrote: ↑21 Oct 2023, 13:53 Thanks for the log.
US Army UH-60M 063 will be 19-21063, a known resident with 2-2nd AVN.
Can you confirm that 18-20999 still wears yellow "DMZ stripes" please?

Yep, sorry 21064, which I see has now been confirmed. They've had it since Apr21 at least.tally wrote: ↑21 Oct 2023, 14:05Hi Andy,AndyMarden wrote: ↑21 Oct 2023, 13:53 US Army UH-60M 063 will be 19-21063, a known resident with 2-2nd AVN.
Did you mean 064 as I have 19-21063 in the log already? Scramble D Base has 064 still on order so if that is confirmed as 2-2 Avn that would be appreciated.

Re: Seoul ADEX 2023
21073 is an HH-60M from Camp Humphreys.
It should have had both Medical marks and DMZ stripes.

Thank you for the correction. I think it should be 21070. Last digit was hard to read. There are more 2107x Blackhawks based here ?AndyMarden wrote: ↑21 Oct 2023, 15:0021073 is an HH-60M from Camp Humphreys.
It should have had both Medical marks and DMZ stripes.
Also noted in Oct/Nov were 21040, 20141, 21042, 21043, 21044, 21045 and 21069
