Miami-International week 50-2023

Post by LifelinerOne »

Hi again!

with MIA being only 30-35 minutes away from FLL, I couldn't resist spending some time there as well.

My first morning they were operating in Western-mode, meaning towards the West. For the aviation photographer this isn't as good as options are more limited and less favorable. Later, the wind turned and during my other stops operations were in Eastern-direction.

When in Eastern-mode, I've spotted at the El Dorado furniture store and the "Holes" at NW 25th Street. When on Western-ops I spotted from the end of NW 47th Avenue.

Enough with the talk, time for the pictures. Which are not as sunny as you might have expected (like I did) from MIA.

1. Surinam Airways B737-800 PZ-TCV was one of two I catched:

2. One of the four DHL Aero Expreso B767-300Fs I catched was this HP-3710DAE:

3. A few times a day, AeroMexico comes in with the MAX9, like this XA-HSB:

4. Last time I was in MIA was in 2020 and then LATAM didn't flew with the A320 to MIA. Now multiple times a day, so that was nice:

5. GlobalX is wet-leasing this Aruba Airlines A320 P4-AAK:

6. Avianca is also a very regular visitor and I loved snapping this TACA heritage jet A320 N567AV:
ImageA320-AVI-N567AV-MIA12dec23 by Anton Homma, on Flickr

7. The first morning, I spotted no less than three Aloha Air Cargo B767Fs, like this N566NC:

8. If you like the MAX, Miami is the place for you. You can see loads of American Airlines ones, as well as some from United Airlines, AeroMexico, Southwest, and Caribbean:

9. And Cayman Airways:

10. Another Avianca heritage-jet, this time the LACSA one, A320 N821AV:

11. The variety of Latin-American operators is very nice at MIA; another example is this Estafeta B737-400F XA-SLG:
ImageB734F-EST-XASLG-MIA12dec23 by Anton Homma, on Flickr

12. Or Red Air with its MD-82s, like this HI1069:

13. And SkyHigh with its ERJ190s, this one is HI1090:

14. This all white MD-87 N987GC made an emergency landing at Miami in January 2023 when it was enroute from Tamiami to Opa Locka. It has been there ever since and now taped-up:

15. Qatar Amiri Flight A330-200 A7-HJJ also dropped in one morning and stayed for 3 days:

16. The Latin-American delights continue with this A320neo CC-AZS of SKY Airline:

17. Every day, there are 2 B737s from Kalitta Charters II present. Leaving here is N335CK:

18. This all-white B737-300F HI1089 is operated by SkyHigh:

19. Another regular MAX-airline is Copa Airlines, seen here with MAX9 HP-9927CMP wearing a nice special colorful livery:

20. I had expected to catch more GlobalX-aircraft but only ended up with a rather white A321 and this A320 N630VA:
ImageA320-GLX-N630VA-MIA14dec23 by Anton Homma, on Flickr

21. LATAM Airlines B787-9 CC-BGS is also wearing a special livery:
ImageB789-LAT-CCBGS-MIA14dec23 by Anton Homma, on Flickr

22. Boliviana has swapped its B767s for the A330-200. This one is CP-3208:
ImageA332-BOA-CP3208-MIA14dec23 by Anton Homma, on Flickr

23. More MAX-fun with this GOL MAX8 PR-XMG:
ImageB738M-GOL-PRXMG-MIA14dec23 by Anton Homma, on Flickr

24. You can also see a few Cargojet's. This B757-200F C-GCJS was, for me, the nicest one:
ImageB752F-CGJ-CGCJS-MIA14dec23 by Anton Homma, on Flickr

25. And I'm ending my selection with this Air Canada Cargo B767-300F C-GXHI:

Hope you liked them! Again, all my albums can be found here: https://flickr.com/photos/lifelinerone/albums/

Despite the weather some good pictures. You had more luck with the Avianca "retro's"and Copa and Latam specials then we had in February.

Very nice selection, was at MIA, OPF, TPA, FLL, FXE beginning December 2023. Weather was certainly challenging for the most part.
