Megara - 9 april 2024

Post by r.e.hendriks »

Hi all,

We made a quick stop at Megara this afternoon. The light made it hard to read all helicopters but we managed to read a few.

East ramp:
ES-925, ES-929, ES-907, ES-906, ES-911
ES-926, ES-904, ES-928

West ramp:
ES-921, ES-912 rotorless, ES-914, ES-905
ES-901, ES-903
ES-891, ES-843, ES-841, ES-845, ES-848
ES-620
401 C-12

Hangar:
1 CH-47 outside in front, 5 CH-47 inside hangar, of which 3 rotorless

Civil apron:
SX-HFF AS.332

Any help on the missing serial would be more than welcome. I’m pretty sure we weren’t the only one to visit Megera today.

Best regards Rob

Vandaag langs geweest, aan beide kanten van het veld extra politie controles. Geen mogelijkheid om te stoppen.

There must've been dozens of you around Megara this week, let's see more reports (coz we need help too)! For my tuppence, the Chinook immediately west of E€-891 at dusk on the 10th was E€-915.
He said they drove by Megara today, lots of police control on both ends of the runway, so no possibility to stop.
Cheers,

Don't where 891 was parked on the 10th. But in was on the same spot on the 9th and the 11th. And the same Chinook was parked immediately west of it. I call tell you it is not 915, but 905.

Late morning on 11th, the CH-47 on the right-hand side of the hangar, when seen from the road just past the gate, was ES-930.

An additional NH.90 on 9th was ES-853. It was put away when we were there (early afternoon).

Just out of interest. Was the 930 parked inside the hangar or outside?
If outside, do you have a lat/long of where it was parked? And what was the state of the helicopter? Did it had rotors and all panels?

Best regards Rob.

Inside the hangar. The right-hand door was open. Rotors on, looked operational.

Ah ok... How did you managed to read that one?
We saw one in front of that hangar on the 9th, and approx. five inside.
The 11th the one in front was gone and only approx. five were again seen inside.
