According to the very good informed website sky-high.co.il 329 was 14505 and BuNo 159806. So this one isn’t ex 329 if the datablock on C-FGYL is correct.

if it was 159779, than that one was scrapped in 2005 according to Scramble. The mystery continious.

Maybe they use the datablock of 159779, while the original datablock was removed. Not the first time with ex Israeli aircraft.

The current Canadian Civil Aircraft Register shows C-FGYL as having a serial number of 14478, that would make it ex USMC 159779.
It also has the number 478 on the top of the tail at Fairford 2024.

329 / 14478 / 159806 registered as N415TA on 28/03/22 cancelled on 14/07/22 to Top Aces Inc. as C-FGYL / "478"
The above is correct

Do you have a source for all of this? As I could not find any conclusive source confirming this (how much I do would believe it).

Re: 19-21 July 2024; RIAT Fairford
So it is certified and registered since 2024-07-18, which was the very day it arrived at Fairford? Bit weird…
Answers will be questioned.....

This just confirms the c/n belonging to C-FGYL, which we already knew (it is stenciled on the aircraft). I'm interested to know the confirmed history of it, the BuNo, as well as former IDF/AF id.RobertMB wrote: ↑27 Jul 2024, 08:31 See: https://wwwapps.tc.gc.ca/saf-sec-sur/2/ ... hSimp.aspx

The FAA register shows N415TA as 159806 being registered with Top Aces Corp.,USA on March-28th 2022 and being de-registered on July-14th the same year as being sold to Top Aces Ltd, Canada. And on July25th the same year C-FGYL recieved the Canadian airworthiness certificate with c/n 14478. Coincidence?? Or like Witje said, a mix up with the TDB when the Israeli's bought the A-4's of the US?!

If you go to the history page of the link above, you will find it was already registered since 2022, but airworthiness was cancelled early this year. It was recertified on the July-18th again, possibly after some intense maintenance.

Thanks for sharing this Harold!
Still strugling with c/n 14505 (mentioned by Joe Baugher) as being 159806? Was there a mix up, or did the Israeli simply use another TDB or parts of a scrapped A-4M to fix up theirs? I guess thats someting we'll never know for sure.

On Sat Jul 20 there was an F-16 at the far end of the north east fl line. Seems like this was the location: 51.690966, -1.765733. Anyone for the ID? Was this the F-16BM (ET-197) that is listed on the RIAT Checklist? I did not see this one anywhere on Sunday and the coordinates listed above you could not see from the static grounds.

Did anybody know the Portuguese Falcon with came in at the 20th?
