Re: Turkish F-4 50th anniversary, Eskiserhir, November 16th & 17th 2024
Hangared and visible through partially open doors on arrival were an F-16 and an AS532. On leaving another AS532 and an F-4E were visible in a different, lit, hangar The first AS532 reported as 531???. Remains of an F-4 for the firemen to play with near the firestation

Re: Turkish F-4 50th anniversary, Eskiserhir, November 16th & 17th 2024
Thanks for the log!
A small correction, PM 73-1052 flew together with 73-1046, 73-1048 and 77-0303 the coloured one, 77-0278 did not fly PM. However, 77-0278 flew AM and went into the south-eastern HAS-area after landing but joined the Elephant Walk in the afternoon together with the two 401 Filo aircraft and 73-1053 with the special tail along with 73-1049 and 77-0279 from the north-eastern HAS-area.

from MSF:I am 100% sure the 239 from Bursa is persevered at Eskisehir now. On the pictures you can see it is in faded grey colors and is not repainted.
The CF-104 from Eskisehir (62-751) is probably the one at OF now (http://www.trabzon.gov.tr/of-ilcesi-sah ... ete-acildi). Google Earth: L/n Eskisehir. Nov17, F/n OF Feb18

26 June 1986 F-104G 62-12239/6-239 162filo THK incident pilot ok
F-104G 8238 code "6-238" flew a routine mission with 7 other Starfighters when South East of the island Imrali, in the Sea of Marmara, it collided with F-104G 62-12239 code "6-239". The pilot in "6-238" Hv. Plt. Ütgm. M. Kamil Akcali (26 years old) was sadly killed in this accident. Later some parts of the crashed aircraft "6-238" and the pilot's dead body were recovered. He was burried in his hometown Adana. Aircraft "6-239" could land safely and could be repaired.

This seems to think that 62-12239 is the one at Of!
https://www.916-starfighter.de/F-104_RN ... uadron.htm
This agrees and has both 7185 and 104751 at Eskisehir!

Re: Turkish F-4 50th anniversary, Eskisehir LTBI, November 16th & 17th 2024
You will find a link in my previous message showing the F-104 at Of. You can see clearly that it is a CF-104 with the additional RWR at the nose and tail of the aircraft. So that rules our 239, which is a F-104G. And the one noted at Eskishehir definately was no CF-104 as it lacked the RWR. So its safe to say the grey one from Bursa already marked as 239 is the same grey 239 at Eskishehir and that one of the CF-104's from Eskishir moved to Of.747woody wrote: ↑22 Nov 2024, 12:49 This seems to think that 62-12239 is the one at Of!

Can you confirm that the one at Eskisehir is marked 239?
Re: Turkish F-4 50th anniversary, Eskisehir LTBI, November 16th & 17th 2024
I haven't read it, but others did.
