Usually there is a time slot based on a month or week especially when delevery is still so far away. And I really doubt any aircraft will be delevered on 29feb07, as the date does not even exist.

Heh. Quite right. These are the internally published dates anyway, but I guess it will be March 1st then. I'll ask around a bit...

As far as the doubting part, can't help you in that department. As stated, these are the internally published dates.

Don't think so Richard. Granted, wasn't quite awake when I posted the dates but they are the internally published ones, just as Nov. 24th was for -MPP. Guess the dates are for planning purposes (flightschedules etc) however I do realise that for the last two the dates are still a long way to go.

Maybe not for this topic but I did hear today that -MCE and -MCF are supposedly sold to some (new?) Spanish airline that's supposed to want to operate them (as freighters)? My collegue heard something like "FIR" ("VIR"?) but a google search turned up empty... Anybody an idea?

Boeing now confirmed: 3 new 737-800's and 1 new 777-300ER (the fourth one, as mentioned above).

Bad news about the fourth B747-400ERF for KLM.

Air France will take delivery of this aircraft iso KLM. This is due to the fact that the cargo operation of KLM-Air France is a little bit dissapointing and the B747-200F's of Air France are fuel inefficient. These aircraft will leave the fleet sooner and the B747-400ERF will compensate for this.

The good news is that the PH-CKD will go to KLM in 2008 after all.

Don't quite get this.....

Will the aircraft (35233) be delivered to KLM and leased to AFR or is it going to AFR direct and another aircraft will be PH-CKD ?

i dont see it as bad news.
the ckd will go to AF for 1,5 years replacing an less economic aircraft.
doing this the shared klm-af cargo business will be stronger.
a stronger business can grow faster/better.

and just to confirm: the ckd will be deliverd to af, and after 1,5 years that aircraft will go to klm.
as the plan is now.

I have found nothing regarding this lease/exchange.
PH-CKD is still on the production line in Everett for KLM and is scheduled to be delevered to Amsterdam last week of januari. A few days after PH-BQO.

As for the growth of AFR/KLM, if the Aircraft is delevered to KLM the cargo fleet will GROW, if it will replace 742F at CDG the fleet does not grow. Simple math.

and yet it IS going to Air France as klm has (internally) announced.

and the math isn't that simple.
if the -400ERF is going to AF it will replace a 200 for 1,5 years. the 400 can haul more cargo with less costs (more fuel efficient)
therefore the profit of KLM-AF cargo will improve so more growth possible.

klm-af cargo is the best integrated part of the airline. the strategy is profitable growth, so for now we dont see an extra airframe but growth isn't only measured in airframes.

last but not least, if klm would be without air france this frame might as well have been cancelled because it was not economical to operate it..

Will this aircraft keep the PH-CKD registrationmark of will it receive a French during its time with Air France?

Does anybody know the name of the new 777 for KLM.

As for the CKD going to Air France first, I remember reading (on luchtvaartnieuws and nu.nl) that the (combined) cargo division of Air France/KLM wasn't growing that fast. This maybe explains why they choose to use CKD to replace an older AF freighter in order to improve their economic performance, instead of expanding the fleet at this moment.

After the 1,5 years are over, will Air France replace CKD with a new frame, for example with another 744ERF (do they have any of those on order) or with a 777F (when will those be delivered to Air France)?

En zo zullen nog vele KLM vliegtuigen volgen.
Would you be so kind to explain your statement a little bit more elaborate then this and perhaps support it with some arguments.
