Sometimes when reading through a topic you can find the answers already...Aviopic wrote:Now serious. Just received a mail from the mx manager:So we'll have to wait another month.Hello Willem, Well The tri star lost its c check slot in VCV, But it is slated for a slot in May. Luzair (the owner) still has plans to do a one way ferry flight to Lisbon, then onto VCV. I will keep you posted. Regards .....

What a lot of rumours are floating here about TMR;-)
All I know that there are several people working for the last days on TMR. Many new parts are installed and IMO it won't be scrapped.
She's parked at the M apron because Hangar 9 will be demolished and it will give a bit of a mess if she was parked next to H9 when that is in progress;-)
Just wait and see......

So many rumours in this forum... Let's face the facts just like they are:
- Off course, if authorities don't give the provisory certificate, there is a chance of the aircraft be scrapped. On the other hand, all 3 engines installed are 100% serviceable and certificated.
- Luzair asked for provisory certificate to portuguese authorities a few weeks ago, but now it is EASA who can approve it or not. So the process was delayed and a new request was sent to EASA.
- There is currently a maintenance team @ AMS to help the certification process.
Let's just wait. Saying that the aircraft was moved to platform M just because it will be scrapped it's not true! At least, at this time.

Spoke to a KLM mechanic this morning and he said the Tristar is almost ready to depart, probably this week. First one testflight in the North West sector and then departure to Lisbon and later on Victorville to meet his slot in the hangar for his C-check (will be more in need of a D-check if you ask me )

Ooit op dezelfde plek, waar nu de Tristar staat stond 10 jaar geleden de ZAS B707 SU-DAC...
