Assuming that the http://www.jerseyairdisplay.org.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; has secured enough funds it may be possible that a Saab Tunnan and/or support aircraft will display at Jersey on Thursday the 13th of September.
See http://www.jerseyairdisplay.org.uk/news ... ticleID=54" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; .

During the 2006 edition the Saab Tunnan made a fuel stop at Leeuwarden. Also this year?

Reason for the visit , just like last time, bringing soldiers for an army exercise in the Marnewaard?
I also saw that there where rumours about Spanish Hornets to come to The Netherlands, maybe it has something to do with this 707?
I also saw that rumor. But looking to the number of POB, 169, it looks to much personal for a deployment in my opinion. We shall see.

The B707 was the T17-3 / 47-03 and it had indeed personnel onboard for an exercise in the Marnewaard area starting next week.

These kind of exercises take normally between 1 and 2 weeks, last year they arrived 8/9 and departed 16/9 (via Eelde because it was weekend).
So a good guess is that they will leave next week friday or saturday.
Just heard they start playing allready tomorrow.

Today I saw a flightplan for five F-18's from Spain to Orland (Norway)
Eindhoven is alternate for this flight. The B707 will probably provide them with a/a refuel on their way to Norway.

Regards, Rob.

PS. Also a C-295M of the Spanish Airforce was present at LWD today. Callsign AME3570 reg. T.21-3/35-41
This one is now at Eindhoven and will return to LWD later today.
