NATO meeting - EHAM & EHVB 23, 24, 25 October

Expect a lot of NATO VIP Aircraft during a 3 day Nato Meet. SPL East is the place to be.... Visitors will most likely be the usual BRU NATO visitors..

While searching on the internet I foud other dates for the informal meeting of NATO Ministers of Defense meeting: October 24th and 25th.
Meeting will be held at Noordwijk.

Defence Ministers will hold informal meetings in Noordwijk, Netherlands, on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 October 2007, under the chairmanship of the NATO Secretary General, Mr. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer. The Minister of Defence of the Netherlands, His Excellency Mr. Eimert van Middelkoop, will host the meetings.

If I bring a short ladder to look and photograph over the fence, will that give me problems?

Only if you keep away of the fence about 3m they told me (security), so it is of no use.

In that case, will they land on the regular runway that happens to be in use ast the time, or get a special treatment with runways (e.g. Schiphol Oost runway)?

Dunno, but if there is no special treatment the usual runway allocation is 04/22 for all bizjets, most props and small airliners that park at East. Only the big ones (> B738/A321) have to use one of the main runways, and there is no exemption to that due to weight restrictions for 04/22.

Heb even op Airliners.net gekeken wat er zoal komt bij een NATO meeting.
Nu stond er vaak ook bij "defence ministers". Dus een soort gelijkwaardige meeting.

Erg speculatief Eric. De E-4 komt doorgaans alleen in de "buurt" van waar de Air Force One (Bush dus) aanwezig is. Is hij in het midden-oosten of oost-europa, dan staat er doorgaans een E-4 in west-europa (bijv. Mildenhall/Ramstein).
De NATO meetings in Brussel zorgen doorgaans voor een C-37 of een C-40 uit de States volgens mij. Benieuwd waar ze mee naar SPL komen.

Uhhh... dit is een NATO meeting, volgens mij hoort Israel (nog?) niet bij de NATO.
