FlyBe in Summer 2008:

From 8 May 2008 FlyBe plans to operate the EMB195 on both:
- EXE-AMS-EXE 1x daily
- SOU-AMS-SOU 2x daily, plus 1x daily DH8-400.

Is anything known about Flybe starting MAN-AMS? I've seen a rumour elsewhere that they will do 3x daily (2 with DH4, 1 with E195), but the route wasn't among the large number they announced last week. With Jet2 pulling off, and KLM getting more expensive (anyone see the connection there trips to the homeland are looking very expensive next year!

Centralwings volgt SkyEurope op met route Amsterdam - Krakow

DRIEBERGEN - Het Poolse Centralwings begint met ingang van de zomerdienstregeling (eind maart 2008) aan een lijndienst tussen Amsterdam en Krakow. De dochteronderneming van de Poolse nationale luchtvaartmaatschappij LOT stapt daarmee in het gat dat ontstaan is sinds SkyEurope deze route enkele weken geleden staakte. De lijndienst naar Amsterdam is aangekondigd op de website van de luchthaven Krakow.

Centralwings opent tegelijk met Amsterdam ook routes naar Hamburg en Birmingham. De lijndienst tussen het populaire Krakow en Schiphol zal vier keer per week worden uitgevoerd. De low cost divisie van LOT Polish Airlines vliegt met Boeing 737-300’s en 737-400’s.

SkyEurope Airlines beëindigde de route tussen Amsterdam en Krakow onlangs in het kader van een reorganisatie, waarbij de prijsvechter de focus legt op de bases in Wenen, Bratislava en Praag.

Malaysia Airways MAS - Summer 2008

Malaysia airways is adding a single saturday weekly frequency during this summer. Schedule as following:

28 Jun - 6 Sep B744 equipment Saturdays only
Arr 16.40 - Dep 20.30

The MAS flight is not yet in the booking systems, or available online.
It will be the first daytime flight from the region to Amsterdam, so I guess it is mainly for transit passengers from Oz.

Northwest Airlines is bringing back the 747 to Schiphol. From the beginning of the summerseason echt day, 1 flight will be flown from Detroit to Amsterdag with a 747-400.

The 747-400 is scheduled for the morningflight of 10.10 lt.
Northwest Airlines have a total of 16 747-400 is business...

Latest release of KLM Summer 2008 timetable indicates:

- KL603 dep 08.10 to LAX will only operate 2x weekly B777 - was 5x weekly in Summer 2007.
- KL573 to TIP will operate 5x weekly.

- While Air France will operate 2x daily A318 and 2x daily Fokker 100 to Lyon.
