When is next years Russian Invasion due. Weekend of 12thJan?
Russian invasion
Somebody knows what Russians to expect ??
I think that the most Russian airlines are coming with the modern stuff and that the days of the Tupolev are over.
On the Salzburg airport site they don't give the winter-charter schedule at this moment.
If somebody knows that there are Tupolevs coming i would like to here it !!

Spotting at Salzburg SZG - LOWS 2008
Hi!
Next week we drive to Croatia and we make a stop, including a night stay near Salzburg.
If I want to go to Salzburg Airport. Can I go to the runway myself on foot, or do I need a vehicle?
And other question: is the observation deck (I believe SZG has one) open and can I go there as I am not a passenger.
Regards,
Bas

Re: Spotting at Salzburg SZG - LOWS 2008
Hi Bas,
The airport is not that big, so I guess it will be about a less then 15 minutes walk. It is allways worth trying to get access to the GA hangars. If you ask it will not be a problem. I do not know if the observation desk is still open, but from the restaurant You got an excellent view and the sell excellent food for reasonable prices.
