Question about Barcelona (BCN/LEBL) and Palma (PMI/LEPA)

Post by Dutchbird »

Hi all,

Is there anyone who knows if there are any spotting sites/forums of the airports BCN and PMI?

Already used Google but without good result. :(

All help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Badmuts!

See also info for PMI: http://www.scramble.nl/forum/viewtopic. ... hlight=pmi" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
As mentioned by Chris Veringa, Helios Hotel in Can Pastilla (5th floor) is the best place to read off everything but bad for taking pictures...

Spot #2 is a very good one and very easy to reach by car.
when you have a car: if you follow the road to the north-east (direct right to #2) and then the M-15 to the east, then take the first exit, go to the left through the tunnel under the road you came of, then to the left again onto the parallel road. when you drive back for about 0.8 to 1km, you're almost directly under the flight path but the aircraft are at a little higher distance. I was able to take very nice pics at that spot.
See the A to B route on this Google Map.

Have a nice time at Mallorca

I can highly recommend the Hotel Linda at Can Pastilla for a base near the airport. If you get a high level room facing the city, all arrivals on 06L and departures on 24R can be read off with ease. Large windows at the end of the passageway to the elevators enable departures from 06R to be read off and 24L arrivals, although heat haze can be a problem with the latter. There is also a partial view of the biz ramp from here. Spotting points 4 and 5 on the map can be reached with about a 20 minute walk.

Regards,

Neil. :)

Hotel Helios
20 minutes walk to spot 4 or 5... or rent a bike.

Hotel Marina Luz... :D
this hotel is 50/100 meter from spot 4. only the problem is very expensive.. :(
