Snapshots from the garden

Post by Key »

While tending to the green stuff last Sunday, I decided to catch some of the late afternoon light on traffic climbing out of EHAM 24. Shots made with Nikkor 300/f4, various amounts of cropping.

Thx guys! FYI: the easyJet was roughly at 6000ft (FL60) and less than 1/3 of the framewidht in length. The heavies were lower (and bigger!), the 747 is barely cropped.

I've just seen this thread and thought I'd post a few pics from my garden (near RAF Waddington).

This is my first post on here, please be gentle with me!

25th January - Nimrod R1 aborted an approach to RWY20 due to HELIMED departing in a hurry and came straight over the house:

6th February - 2 shots of ZJ693 from the garden - nice light that morning.

6th February - 2 shots of ZH103 in the circuit shot from the garden, nice light that afternoon too.

What do you guys think I do during the airshow arrivals? BBQ too :D

I'm at the end of the downwind leg for rwy20 at Waddington, so I enjoy working from home when I want to. I do have to go down the road 200 -300metres to catch the helos when they work the Donna Nook range though. Unfortunately the light isn't always good:

This is how I preferably see Lynxes....... with wheels!

Nice first posting. Keep up the good work!

Oh yeah...... don't forget that there is also work to do in the garden instead of only watching the planes go by
