According to a single U.S. news media article (Source: http://www.wtoc.com/global/story.asp?s=7894248" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), VMFA-115 "Silver Eagles", MCAS Beaufort, South Carolina, MAG-31, 2nd MAW, is preparing to deploy to Iraq for OIF. It looks to me like they will replace VMFA(AW)-225 "Vikings", MCAS Miramar, California, MAG-11, 3rd MAW, at Al Asad Airfield, Iraq. And it´s possible that they make a stopover either at Lajes AB or at Moron AB.
USMC Hornets to Lajes
Hi everyone,
The Hornets should have arrived this evening at Lajes as Mazda 21 and Mazda 31 flight.
Hope this helps,
René.
