Hi all,
Heard last night, the Aviodome 'Connie' is to display at the airshow at
RAF Waddington on the 5th and 6th of July. Said to be flying both days.
When the time comes, could someone if possible say when the expected
arrival is. Nice to see over here again and looking forward to it.
Many thanks, WireFox.

The official
http://www.waddingtonairshow.co.uk/disp ... =1&dgID=25" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; does indeed mention the Dutch Constellation, albeit "provisional".
But indeed some funds still have to be raised to pay the ridiculously high insurance premiums, Lottery grants or not...
Operationally speaking there weren't that many problems I was told. Chances are far greater for N749NL to appear at Waddington than Vulcan XH558...

Fingers-crossed for the Waddo-'Connie', however, I did hear the other day
that the Vulcan crew, have had some cash and things will be moving soon.
If this is correct, then what a show that will be.
Regards, WireFox.

I hope that they will made it but however they just started an action to get more money to get the Connie flying .WireFox wrote:

Re: Waddo-Connie.
Actually I don't believe in this. In the same weekend the Aviodrome has its own event, and I think the Connie will have its role to play on their own fly-inn. Besides, the enormous insurance bill only covers for a very little number of flying hours I've been told by one of the Connie team.
Flying to Waddington might consume a lot of these hours, so I personally think it's a no-go.
