The show will be held on may the 18th.

In the morning static show while in the afternoon flight demo and probably a great formation of based helis.

There will be only helicopters.

Invited and confirmed (90%) are:

NH-500 AMI 72° stormo
NH-500 GDF
A-109 power VF
A police helicopter
Skycrane S-64 from Protezione Civile
AB 412 CFS
EH-101 MM
Agusta A-129CBT demo heli
Agusta A-139
A Carabinieri Helicopter
AB-206 from Viterbo (one of the last AB206...)
Many based choppers (AB-205/A129CBT/A109)
Some civilians operators

Probably the Lebanon AB-205 Special color from Venaria Reale Base

It will be probaly prepared also a special helicopter (AB 205) for the occasion.

Unfortunately the people will stay in an area which is against sun in the morning while in the afternoon it will be possible to take some nice shots.

Wow, this sounds realy good...

Judging on what Tonno says, then the public area would be on the northside of the camp. This is abit of a pitty, but then again... this could be an exclusive openday when I read all the expectations.

Here's the GE Satalite picture of the camp and the surrounding area:

The problem is that they really need the operational area because they would like to do a big formation... So people must stay in the north side.
Afternoon is nice enough for pictures even if the sun is not perfect.

Before you ask... even if it is a small base from outside it is not possible to take pictures as it is all surrounded by a wall! Probably only for landing shots but you know, helicopters many times do not follow the normal approach....

The trials for the big formations will probably be on friday not saturday as usual...

I'll keep you updatet if I will have some news.

Does anyone have more info on this one yet, or a web site for the show?

I've got flights booked already but it would be good to know a bit more before I get there. Its less than 3 weeks away! :?

There is one AB206 preserved on pylon just 2 km after the base at the end of Casarsa town, going to Udine, on the left.

Then at about 20km there are a G91T @ Basiliano and a G91PAN@Campoformido.

Both on the left following the main road from Casarsa to Udine.

Has anyone's notebook dried out enough to post a list of the operational helicopters on the far side of the field? :rain:

A real shame about the weather - The organisers deserve full credit for puting together any kind of flying display in the weather conditions. :respect:

The sight and sound of the finale with the massed helicopter flypast redistributing the water had to be seen to be believed.

The solo A129 deserves special mention as well - a brilliant display. :thumb:
