Spanish F-18 WILL fly during the opendagen Leeuwarden.

Startfighters (except for the one near the gate) aren't coming.

Sometimes I think (especially in this forum) "are some people just posting for the posting, working off their feelings again and again (and again) or might they maybe have read the answers to their posts?". But I won't call any name, even not by PM. Pffff...

What I understand from the SIS updates, they will only have one nightstop at Lakenheath, and depart the following day again, so I think they are gone already during Leeuwarden. But I admit, those would be even more nice then the LN machines.

They are due in to Lakenheath at 1800Z on Thursday 12th June & depart for Bulgaria sometime either morning or lunchtime on Saturday 14th June.

Message from the farmer near beginning 24:
His fields will be off limits next couple of weeks.
So during the arrival days you will have to stand on the side of the road when 24 is in use.

in case of 24: there is room enough in Jelsum right?, also there is a gas station a bit further on the road of the approach with plenty parking space. I also think there is a caravan retailer, but I can imagine he would not want a lot of cars in front of his enterprise.

In 2006 that caravan retailer came out shouting he would call the police when we parked even near his enterprise.
A little later the police arrived to manage the traffic, and guess where they told us to park :P
Let's just wait and see what will happen next week.
I hope the police will be as cooperative as they were two years ago.

Dutch F-16

Post by Stafsels »

Hi all,

Besides all that is foreign and nice, the last years only a few Dutch Falcons made the static. Last year even only one.

When there is room available would it be possible to set some of our dutch pride on static. The fabulos line was 1993 at Einhoven where all nine squadrons (306, 311, 312, 313, 314, 315, 316, 322 and 323) were present would not be possible but some craft from home 322 and 323 would be possible. For now the most wonderfull line would be 306, 311, 312, 313, 322, 323/Tactess and 900sq (last is the J-066 testgroup if I am correct). No need for special tails but just to show our own airforce represented with an active Falcon.

Possiblities JB5?

Scincerely yours all,

Maybe not for you, but I would like to have all special tails together at the static. Not only for this year, but also the specials that will be around in the future, just when permission for a special tail is granted, tell them that they have to show that one at the first Open Dagen coming up. I remember some parked together at Eindhoven in '93. (313, 322 and the then still existing 314 and 316). Still a bit disappointed last year the 311 and 312 jubilee tails weren't at the static.

Just readed the 'vliegende hollander', they explain it is hard at this time to get many different aircraft cause of 'bezuinigigen', and no jets in the morning cause of a 'volksfeest'.

I have respect for what the klu has done to get a so nice list of aircraft coming, they puzzled alot as they said to get it all done.
Oh and, enjoy the mirage 2000 solo, last time according to the magazine.

Last year the French Air Force said the 2000 would have had cut down its number of displays, in their opinion it should only display in France before Rafale should take over the duty of airdisplays. So having it: Well done everybody :good:

Hello,

I think it would be nice to see the F-4F 38+37 @ EHLW.

I've seen pictures @ Flugzeugforum.de and I think it is a nice painting!

Grz
