Bodo 24-07

Post by NOW103 »

Hi! First post here, dont know if its the right place to put it, but I thought id share some of the things ive heard on the radio today here in Bodo, Norway (ENBO)

SHARK11/12 F-16 RNoAF
SHARK13/14 F-16 RNoAF
EG21 Flight F-16 RNoAF (Never heard'em check in so dunno how many)
DAF1323 C-130? RDAF (Came in yesterday, dont know from where, and continued today. It parked at Gate 23 which is on the Civil Side of the airport, no idea why but it did. Later on today it was cleard to (sounded like it atleast) Station North via the LADAS4A and was later on cleard dct 70N something West.)

And just now I heard NAF34 come in, it first was cleard to 6000' then 5000', then 4000' and then it got "Cleard to leave 4000 and also cleard ILS 25".
It parked at gate 22 just under the Tower. Why, I have no idea. If someone know why I would be happy to know.

Hi NOW103,
I think this is a good area to post, but i,am no admin.
Anyway i was suprised to see that someone in Norway is monitoring the radio, so to me a welcome post.
i don't have any answers to your question, even worse, i have a question for you.
I (and many more) recently noted the Norwegian AF changed it's callsign structure for the NOW numbers. They used to start with 50xx so four numbers and now changed (in most cases) to 3 numbers.
At Fairford and Florennes ,NOW 132 was noted.
I understand the number 132 is the number of the Luftving.

I had a quick look at the Orbat, and this revelealed the folowing Luftvings:
132 With F16
133 With P3C/N
135 With C130's
138 With F16's
139 With Bell 412s and Lynx.

My question, did you hear any off the above numbers lately, and can you confirm if these are actually fix callsigns for these wings?

Best Regards Pieter

Hi NOW103

Good to find an enthusiast up in the distant North.

I visited the air show at Bodo in June and still have some outstanding queries. Not sure if you are also into serials, but even just call-signs would be a help. I am trying to identify the An-26 that supported the Polish Fitter, the third Swedish Gripen (39147, 39821 and one other), also the Belgian Embraer which visited on the Monday after the show in support of the Belgian F-16s.

If you can help, that will be great.

Cheers,

Mike
