Hi all,

KLM's first Boeing 737-700 is now painted in full colours and is parked at BFI. Have seen it myself this afternoon. Sorry no photos.

Een intern schrijven binnen de KLM spreekt over het type 737-7K2. Dit is gedaan zodat ze makkelijker aan HV kunnen worden verhuurd, net als de -800's. Ook werd er vermeld dat ze bij Boeing spraken over 706, dit klopte niet werd er geschreven. Het lijkt me dus duidelijk de ze als 7K2 in het register komen.

7K2 is used because back in 98 the deal closed by Transavia with Boeing made the (-800)a/c around 800.000 dollars cheaper then when build under the KLM-spec (x06). Transavia has rewritten their specs then to include KLM as this was their mothercompany. As such it has nothing to do with hiring from each other.
About that same time, ten yrs ago, a lot of building-slots were taken up by Transavia and lateron used by KLM for their fleet.
Today the diffirence between xK2 and other specs in the NG-fleet are not as big as with the classic fleet with KLM having specialties like fwd toiletdrainvalves on the LH side of the fwd fuselage and other provisions.
