Morning all,

Well, found some time again to visit our "Nationale". Spent some time at different spots along the different runways and saw some "various birds"

8. This bird came in with a very very short-cut of the approach. Turning in and lining up far over the treshold of the runway.

Well, i'm looking for some new spots in the area. So some of the pics are tries. So please comments if you have them. And the bushes at the Polderbaan-spottingarea are still that high, that you need a stair ( must the surface under that also be flat, otherwise you get the pics with a twist to left or right)

Where exactly (coords would be great) did you take #20 and #23. Looks like you can get ridiculously close to the runway, or is that a no go area and are those guys taking a risk?

Colin, looks to me those guys are at spot number 5 on the scramble airfield guide. Next to 18L (Aalsmeerbaan).

Thanks Hans,

It looks so close, is it possible to stand there without problems?

Evening,

It's correct, i was standing near Spot 5 ( Parkingspot of Jan de Rijk). Parked my car on the street between the waiting aircargo-trucks and walked a 10 meters into the field. KMAR drove by and waved friendly. The spot where the guys are standing is easy to find. Park the car just before the gate / guards nearby the fulestation at the right hand and walk into the grass till the fence near 18 L.

Grtz,
Erik

great pics, indeed, it looks much closer than it really is along the ´Aalsmeerder´. But its fully legal to stay there and take ur pics.
Eric, great effect of the 747 with some spotters in front... it emphasizes the size of the 747 hugely.
But have a look at for example your pics number 22 and 24: you really need to give your camera's sensor a refreshing cleaning party!!! Look at the right below corner where you can see a very nasty dot.
