Out of my head, I believe there is another FY with 224 as an F-15E (FY00? or 01?).

Or am I just drunk at the moment?

I indeed think you are drunk, as there is no 224 for an F-15E

I understand this is an F-16 delivery flight (as in the post subject which I nearly missed...)
Only a single ship flight? What is its destination?

I am expecting tail # 4070-4073.
4069 is already at EPKS since 8 May 2008 (last delivery).
Anyone able to confirm these are PolAF? Why only one callsign?

Yes, they were definately brand-new Polish Vipers. I can confirm that they were a flight of four, calling New York center as Retro 71-74.

They should be departing from Lajes tomorrow at 1000z enroute to Poland.

Hope this helps,

All,

Sorry, was looking at an outdated list! 4070 to 4072 should be accompanied by 4040 unless things have changed again!

Oman AF F-16C 811

Post by raameagle »

Gips and all,

811 is for the Oman AF (build no TP-2). I saw it at Edwards AFB on 2 Feb 07 along with Polish AF example 4040 (build no JC-1).

The Polish (4040) should be at Lajes now as part of the latest delivery.

Well, maybe things have changed, but to me they seem quite standard, as exactly those tail numbers which I had expected actually came to EPKS today, namely #4070-4073.
As #4040 is concerned seems the first plane to be produced will be the last to be delivered... :?

Special thanks for help to Dutchmil! And Raameagle - thanks for your try!

The 4040 flew since the beginning at Edwards AFB as a testbed and was part of the 412 TW.

Well, things can and do change but 4040 was due to be delivered this week along with 4070-4072. I guess it is coming with the final delivery later in the year!
