Moscow Domodedovo spotting
Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |
Moscow Domodedovo spotting
August 30 and 31st my accomplice and I spend at Domodedovo airport.
All photos are taken along runway 14L (spot 5 on the scramble map).
Normally you have the sun behind you in the morning. This was probably also the case these mornings but we never got to see the sun.
But as a well know dutch soccer strategist often says: every disadvantage has its advantages.
In this case the advantage of the very bad weather was that we could stay in this spot the whole day without the sun in our face.
Otherwise, moving to the otherside of the field would at least have taken 2 hours walking.
Hope you enjoy this mix.
Welcome to Domodedovo
Yamal
Aviaprad colors, VIM air titles
Interavia
Polet, better known in these parts for their An124
Izhair
Moscavia, colors still Gromov, its former name
SW business aviation, visited Maastricht last June
Also a recent visitor to Maastricht, for painting in this case.
Perm
Tatarstan, flying tourists from Antalya, still in China Xinjian colors
Kyrgistan titles, former Altyn colors
Bashirian colors, continental titles but no reg on fuselage or underwing

Transaero's first and sofar only triple, ex varig
All pictures were taken from outside the fence and we did not even see any police or security during the two days we were there.
Kind regards
EC

one of the most interesting reports I have seen lately
Great shots!
Weather was maybe not so good, but the aircraft are fantastic, and in good weather you could have never captured some of these shots.
Like the spray off the IL-86 (H)
you hapen to have any info on EX-0002?
looks like an interesting one
furthermore on the shot of the transaero triple 7 there is an IL-86/96 in the background which is blue and white, and seems to have AA on the side
any info on that one to?
anyway, as I said, fantastic shots, and great report
