Saturday 19 September 2009 the second edition of Heldairshow Maritiem will take place at both the civil, as the military part at EHKD.

The show will be less then the first event at 2007, as there is no jubilee of the now defunct MLD to celebrate.

Actually 7 Sq is celebrating it's 60th birthday next year.
Intell indicates some enthusiastic people are brainstorming about a possible SAR event

7 Sq is aiming for a Lynx meet (I wonder who created this brilliant idea ).
Preperations are in full progress and the first squadron invitations were sent last week.

Eventhough not too many countries in Europe use a Lynx-helo (if I'm not mistaken only NL, Denmark, UK, Germany, France and Portugal), I hope all can join by sending at least 2 helo's . . . otherwise there will be too many space left for civil participants Of course, just a joke as you hopefully can understand. All efforts are well appreciated as we all know how difficult it is to organize a nice day like Heldair, Luchtmachtdagen etc.

Unfortunately is very hard to arrange a Lynx meet Main reasons are: lack of availability (Portugal, Norway) and operational commitments!

Bijzonder is ook dat een rondvlucht kan worden gemaakt in een helikopter. Tickets hiervoor (€ 35,00 per persoon) kunnen op zaterdag 19 september worden gekocht bij de incheckbalies van CHC Helicopters Netherlands, in de centrale hal van Den Helder Airport. Zorg dat u er snel bij bent, want de plaatsen zijn beperkt. De minimum leeftijd voor deelname is 3 jaar en vergeet vooral uw identiteitsbewijs niet!

Programma Heldair Show Maritiem
09.30 – 13.45 uur: Helikopterrondvluchten
10.30 uur: Opening Den Helder Airport
11.00 uur: Opening Maritiem Vliegkamp De Kooy
10.30 – 17.00 uur: Static Show, Airmarkt, vliegsimulators, kinderdorp, demonstraties Helderse Modelvliegclub
(geen demonstraties gedurende Airshow)
13.45 – 16.15 uur: Airshow met opening door parachutisten
17.00 uur: Einde

Vervoer en bereikbaarheid
U wordt geadviseerd om zoveel mogelijk op de fiets of met het openbaar vervoer te komen. Fietsen kunnen worden geparkeerd langs de Luchthavenweg en voor Maritiem Vliegkamp De Kooy, op de daarvoor ingerichte locaties. Vanaf treinstation Den Helder Zuid rijden pendelbussen naar het evenemententerrein. Ook vanaf industrieterrein Kooypunt, waar auto's geparkeerd kunnen worden, worden pendelbussen ingezet.

In verband met de bereikbaarheid voor hulpdiensten en uit veiligheidsoverwegingen zijn de onderstaande wegen rondom Den Helder Airport en Maritiem Vliegkamp De Kooy afgesloten op zaterdag 19 september 2009.



1. Luchthavenweg
Afgesloten van 09.00 uur tot 17.00 uur
2. Parallelweg N250
Afgesloten van 09.00 uur tot 17.00 uur
3. Doggersvaart tot Torplaan
Afgesloten van 09.00 uur tot 17.00 uur
4. Doggersvaart vanaf Torplaan/Guldemondweg tot Landmetersweg
Afgesloten van 13.00 tot 16.30 uur
5. Kortevliet
Afgesloten van 13.00 tot 16.30 uur

De bovengenoemde wegen blijven tijdens de afzetting wel toegankelijk voor bewoners.

Maritiem Vliegkamp De Kooy en Den Helder Airport zijn bereikbaar voor bestemmingsverkeer (niet zijnde bezoekers Heldair Show Maritiem).

Possibly, In the past they used more helicopters than they had S-61s, but up till now, at least one of those was used in this operation. I don't know if they can book you on a specific type, if you request at booking...
