Recieved the following information from the CP mailinglist :

"After agreeing all the arrangments for G-APSA to visit Heathrow, BAA
have suddenly withdrawn their slots, claiming that the DC-6 will be
disruptive to normal operations.

See the news item at http://www.thedc6.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Kind regards,

Crimer"

So G-APSA will not fly next friday from RTM to Heathrow, but directly to Goventry.

Probably the DC-6 will leave earlier?????

Regards,

Peter

See the full text at
http://www.atlanticdhg.com/DC6V3/News.htm . Below an excerpt of that text which was still current as of 19.00 hrs CET...
HEATHROW REFUSES ENTRY

With great regret we must announce that we are no longer able to visit Heathrow this Friday, 7 November. We realise that this will be a bitter disappointment to many people.

SNIP

The aircraft will return directly from Rotterdam to Coventry within the next few days. We will publish the times accordingly. This will conclude public flying for this season as the aircraft enters scheduled maintenance on 23 November.
http://www.atlanticdhg.com/DC6V3/Schedule.htm as of 19.00 hrs CET now states:
SCHEDULE

All times are UTC. We will try to keep this schedule up to date but please note that dates and times may change without notice.

2008

November

TBC Rotterdam - Coventry

18 Coventry - Coventry (TRAINING)
So yet again a plea to those who have access to flight plans to and from Rotterdam: Please try and keep us updated if you can!  :!:

Good afternoon!

http://www.rotterdam-airport.nl" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; says that the DC-6 will depart at 1400 lt tomorrow to Heathrow as AAG000...I think the crew may be wants to fly directly to Coventry at the same time, but hey....it's aviation! Everything can change!

Okay.

The departure of G-APSA this Friday afternoon has been cancelled due to operational reasons.

It is very likely that the DC-6 will now not leave Rotterdam Airport before Monday the 17th :!: of November.
Yes, that means she is very likely to stay another two weekends...

My source: someone who is definitely "in the know"!

Strange...

My source was quite adamant that the DC-6 would stay at Rotterdam for at least one more weekend :?:
The reasons were crew-related....

is quite an interesting one. At least one classic prop movement at Rotterdam today!
