This is a license build example, so just 1053, i believe it was Kawasaki who constructed these, they don't have a 70- number
Looking at the logo at the bottom of the c/n plate, I guess it was Mitsubishi who constructed the chopper.

The Marine Liasson Officer just told me the ship will NOT be open for public during the Weekend.
So lets hope something will be on the deck.

Which not has the possibility to carry a helicopter so totally not relevant for this community. So this post has no value at all, first check if the ship has the possibility to carry a helicopter!

Kind of a bitchy answer by Thijs. Hope he doesn't mean it like that.
Might not be relevant but still interesting. Some people might see this ship in port and wonder if it is carrying a helo, now they know not to bother!

So I would say thank you both for your info and better safe than sorry!

I could have say it in other, more polite words, I agree with you in that Arjan. Did not mean it like that, but what i meant to say is first check some facts and figures before you do a post, then Sander could have mentioned in his post that it not has the capability to carry a chopper which is what the community want to know. A one minute google and you have the answer. And yes it could still be interesting (for some people), but we are not a naval forum although navy and airforce / aviation are not that two separated branches.

Arjan, your explanation, about seeing and wondering, sounds very logical, did not think about that one
