Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Excellent images Damian.
Whats the opportunities like for normal "landside"-spotters (or more importantly photographers) at Miroslawiec? I am considering visiting in spring as it is relatively close to the ferry from Denmark.
Any info will be appreciated

Re:
No replies seen (strange as I think this field should have been visited by quite some spotters the last decade. Not keeping all the info for yourselves hey? ) and as I am also wondering how this field can be done from the outside I did some Google Earth research on my own. I also recalled some info from someone who did visited this field back in the 90'ies, but his instructions were very sketchy to say the least. As can be seen from Google Earth, it is surrounded by forests, so I guess the only spots which are do-able would be on the approach paths in the forest. On the RWY 30-side there seems to be a clearing at 53°22'59.29"N / 16° 6'38.41"E but this is near a main road so you are pretty much in view of nosy police/locals. On the 12-side there are several forest tracks (see 53°24'21.77"N / 16° 3'27.04"E) which might provide some views. Again, a lot of trees to block views..SilverWingPix wrote:Excellent images Damian.

Hopefully some has some more specific info/pointers..
If from the outside doesn't work, maybe contact the Polish ministry of Defence and see what possibilities there are to arrange a visit. Small chance, but who doesn't ask, never gets )
Good luck!

Hello,
I was a few times outside the Air Base, there are good conditions for taking pictures: here is a link for our photos from Kondor exercises http://www.scramble.nl/forum/viewtopic. ... lit=KONDOR" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
However, I don't know what should do people from abroad to get inside. Probably You should write to Ministry of Defence or to spokesperson of Miroslawiec Air Base. You have to ask Your friends who was there. Because we are from Polish aviation associations.
Best regards !
