This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Hi guys,
Nice pics. I was surprised to see the Neptune at the display with its tail light on. Does anyone know if they are planning to fire this nice bird's engines up at some point ? That would be fantastic !!
Personally I hope they finish Neptune's painting to the grey-and-white livery, worn by all aircraft in the late 70's.
Best regards,
Iwan

When I entered the T2 during painting, (they forgot to keep it closed) Mr. Raymond Oostergo told me that this is not the intention of Aviodrome. No white on 210, except maybe some titles.Iwan Bogels wrote:Personally I hope they finish Neptune's painting to the grey-and-white livery, worn by all aircraft in the late 70's.

Go tell them. According to them, this is the right first colour scheme of the dutch Neptunes. (and I remember to see pictures of this c/s to) It should have been decided after "historical investigations". I actually also asked for the white top during the "painting visit" but they said that was a no-go. If you're interested in this painting: 216 at EHKD and I thought another one should be at the RAF Museum Cosford (204 if Vliegtuigerfgoed 2005 is to be believed).Slijfie wrote:The Neptune colours are a shame. The grey is the wrong colour, the top should be white and the radar radome should be half black. Etc etc etc.
