Just curious, anyone intrested in a new topic covering Military visitors to the Randstad? This should include Ypenburg /Valkenburg /Rotterdam and Amsterdam i guess. Soesterberg is sometimes considered to be inside the Randstad, but is allready covered in it's own topic.
Some examples :

I made some pictures at Ypenburg during the Helicopter Rescue Competition back in 1970 ; here are two examples :
(1) RAF Whirlwind XP352 with Dutch Alouette III H-08
(2) Danish Air Force RF-84F with the old Avio-Diepen hangar in the background
Although they are no 80s pics , I hope these are a welcome addition to this interesting Topic !

Rotterdam Airport, 8 November 1983.
This visit of the last dinosaur was well worth the short trip from Valkenburg to Rotterdam. 533279 was at Valkenburg earlier that year, but during heavy rain. At Rotterdam, security was still nice to photographers, so we were allowed on the platform and even in the cockpit. Happy days.

This was a Winter Reforger, started at Amsterdam with C141's etc in minus 8 to minus 10 degrees, moved onwards to Rotterdam with C130,s and C160's moving the troops onward to Germany.
I remember one C130 spent several days at RTM with a flat tire, this went flat due to frozen snow on the apron /taxitrack.
