Re: TLP 2009-1 Questions

Re: TLP 2009-1 Logs
Todays mission was cancelled due to weather.
The engines were running but after some 45 minutes they cancelled the mission.
Suddenly the fog came up just when the TLP wanted to kick off.
Cheers

Re: TLP 2009-1 Logs
...which really s*cked! It was very frustrating seeing the mission being called of with four Italian F-16's holding next to the runway in bright sunshine with a nice blue sky!
On the rear line I could see six F-16's with two additional aircraft in the hangar. I think the two on the right were two Polish ones with probably four Italians on their left with a gap in between them. I was on the other side when the four AMI F-16's taxied out (MM7265 and MM7268 (another B not reported before?) and MM7243 and MM7259) 7265 was a Trapani aircraft with the other three being Cervia machines. I was unable to check if those were the four left of the Polish ones.
I also missed the grey Tornado departing at 13:20.
I was obviously too optimistic about the weather and did not check the line before the fog came in. Can anybody enlighten me with the F-16 identities?
Regards, Paul

Re: TLP 2009-1 Logs
Very frustrating indeed....
A few changes took place today. EF-18 C.15-46/12-04 arrived, and was put on the flightline together with already present 12-23. No sign of 12-03 that had flown a mission yesterday!
Tonka 43+72 left, probably going home, and was replaced soon after by 44+80 of AG51.
Also arrived early in the morning was an Italian F-16B, no id known unfortunately.
Around 11-ish Polish Viper 4055 was put in the hangar (on the left hand side), just a bit earlier a German Tonka did the same. Did someone read this one off please?
To recap: on the flightline were:
-2x Mir.2000
-2X Mirage F.1
-2x AMX (one with special tail)
-5x F-16A Italy
-1x F-16B Italy
-2x EF-18 (12-04, 12-23)
-5x Tornado (oa 44+80)
-4x F-4F (oa 38+44)
-3x F-15 (306, 331, 602)

Nope, that's the real one!
No luck with the other one unfortunately, way too hazy (same for the FU50 that should be visible according to Piet (?) behind the TLP-platform unfortunately).

Hi Paul,
Your post just crossed mine....
Thanks for the info on the Italian Vipers!
The two Polish ones were the ones furthest to the right; they *should* be 4052 and 4082, assuming no change did take place here.
Jusr when we were leaving another grey Tonka left indeed, I forgot about that one. I'm sure someone has the serial, since there were still a few people present?

Re: Florennes W&R
Even with clear skies the FU50 can hardly be seen. She is parked on a small field between trees, just behind an old WW2 German hangar (if she's still at the same location), my suggestion would be to seek for an opportunity during the TLP spotters day later this year as during these events at EBFS it is rather easy to go there and see her up close and personalpatrick dirksen wrote:Nope, that's the real one!
