what airbase is this ??
Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Re: what airbase is this ??
I can. But I do not correct spelling or grammar on this board (apart from my own) because that would be an almost endless task for the whole. So I won't.SquAdmin wrote:Could someone please change the topic title to "Which airbase is this?"

Aha, I found a weak spot.
A tip: it is in between the two airport displayed previously.

Re: what airbase is this ??
Flying a plane keeps you pretty occupied? Doesn't it?
But the last field must be the airport at Lampedusa!
Cheers,
Arjan

You really got me working there, my friend. By the shape of it, it had to be a former Soviet field. I looked at quite some coastlines and still had a hard time finding it, hidden there in a corner of a bay... But here we are: Pärnu, Estonia.

Re: what airbase is this ??
My favourite mud-fighting field, and I mean real mud, not aircraft like the AMX.
Which was based here, at that time, together with some helicopters for the CSAR meet.
OK, and now for something completely different:

Re: what airbase is this ??
The very simple layout regarding taxiways with integrated apron, no parallel twy but 'bent', and a remote part (visible in the back). All seen often at former Soviet fields in now independent states.Thijs wrote:And what is that typical shape of a (former) Soviet field?
