If they repaint it at Woensdrecht, it could take-off at night and land at night.aviodromefriend wrote:They are doing everything to keep the scheme secret until it will be revealed at Volkel (so I guess it will leave EHWO in the dark, to make it difficult to make pictures during take-off there or landing at EHVK).
Read the news section of http://www.f16demoteam.nl.
About the new colours it saysOur new Demonstration F-16 (J-015) is brought to Woensdrecht for the stunning new paintscheme. Although the paint scheme of the J-055 is still on the plane and we will train in it the comming weeks, the plane will be painted grey in the near future.
It was hard to develop the new paint scheme but we think it is beautiful and will turn heads at the shows this year. The only thing we can say about the scheme is….nothing!!! It will remain a secret we hope!!! till we reveal it at Volkel Airbase in the beginning of April.

They paint it at Woensdrecht, and the first time it must be seen is at Volkel, so it must not be seen between roll-out at Woensdrecht and presentation at Volkel....topgun1984 wrote:Or they will return the plane in April

They'll hire Hans Klok, he lets it dissapear at Woensdrecht and re-appear at Volkel

Let's hope it won't be the 1st of April. If so: they will probably show the J-015, still in her grey c/s

Maybe some of you have already taken photos of todays training?
Would love to see them.

Re: F16 Demoteam 2009
According to the RNLAF demoteam calender the team did practice a few weeks ago too, however, this information has been removed recently?!?
Bas and I did spot the J-055 on 06-03-'09 too. The ground crew told us she went airborne for a testflight. I have to say it was not a normal way of a testflight take off: she took off with full AB and here smokewinders on. She also didn't take off against the wind, but with the wind coming from the back, and she pulled up hard to disappear vertically into the clouds... Unfortunately we were to late to take any pic
Regards,
Sven
-edit- something weird is going on with my posts, sometimes my PC won't allow me to post in this topic...?!?

Re: F16 Demoteam 2009
Hi Guys very interesting stuff about the new demo bird, can't wait to see the final results as well...
Just a little question off-topic, I'm making this J-015 scale 1/5 as flying model and will start making the landing gear next weeks. I was in the assumption that all KLu F16's have the same landing gear, the older -A version. However looking at the picture of the -015 posted on the Sg Woensdrecht site the main gear appears to have a later -C version gear with the flatter and straight folding strut assy, very difficult to see though...... Maybe it has been re-fitted later after the long repairs at woensdrecht a few year ago.
Is there anyone out there who can help me with this info?
Many thanks!
Rgds,
