Today (05/03/09) I saw an aircraft flying at low level near De Peel. It looked like an L-39.
In the media I read something about an excercise. I guess this is the reason the L-39 was flying around.

Correct. Id is ES-YLL. C/s "Lion39"
Also today were two Spang F-16's, but the weather was too bad, so they decided to go back to Spang. C/s "Dagger10 and 20".

Re: De Peel (EHDP) - 2009
Every now and then you can have some luck at De Peel. I am not working for the GGW anymore since the summer of 2007, so I don't now how it is these days.
Last time I was there with an exercise, the ES-TLA made a fake landing. I was driving on the taxiway in my car and I saw the L-39 coming with his landinggear out and lights on. I stopped to take my camera, but it all happened so fast, that I was far to slow. The aircraft was flying at an height of 3 or 4 meters over my car. His gear was already back in. Because I din't had time to take my camera and put the telelens on it and the pretty dark weather, I made this rather bad picture with max. 55mm. (Standard lense with EOS350D). You can imagine how close the machine was to my car. To bad it wasn't an A10
