It's not a Beech.... it's Lockheed 12 (L2-38) that is being restored in one of the workshops behind the museum hangars.

Thanks for that ! Is L2-38 her original serial or is it the OY-AVO which will be repainted as if she's a former KLu aircraft?frank kramer wrote:It's not a Beech.... it's Lockheed 12 (L2-38) that is being restored in one of the workshops behind the museum hangars.

AFAIK both serials are (almost) correct...
full history for c/n 1306: L2-38 (Netherlands Flying School, Jackson, USA), PJ-AKD, BX238 (RAF Dutch Metropolitan Communications Squadron), T-2 (KLu post-WW2), SE-BXR, OH-ATA, LN-BFS, OY-AOV, L2-38 (Egilkov Museum), "L2-100"...

Re: MLM museumdepots 4-4-09
Euhhh... there is no Grumman Tracker! Do you mean the Breguet Atlantic? It's, like all the other MLM planes, meant for display purposes only. However, the Atlantic flew to EHSB from Marinefliegerhorst Nordholz in Germany....planespotters.nl wrote:Is the grumman tracker in your pictures able to fly or start his engines ?

Re: MLM museumdepots 4-4-09
A few pics from my side. The exhibition was way better to photgraph in the old heli (Chinook?) hangar of Soesterberg AB: better light, no people walking in front of you and more space. Unfortunately they didn't show their whole collection in hangar 7.
1. Brewster Buffalo (the replica)
2. Fokker S11
3. Hawker Hunter
4. Yeah yeah!
5. TF-104G
6. F-104G It's time to cry (again). I've seen this a/c before (@ the MLM), only that time she still had here wings. I thought they had scrapped her already though.
7. Breguet Atlantic
I made some (different angle) pics @ the MLM as well
8. F-104G
9. NF-5A
10. NF-5A (a bit more arty-farty)
Regards,
Sven
