- I wanted to take the shots where the lights but also the plane is sharp. And I've tested a lot with my normal manual settings (F/8.0) and I've seen that only the lights were sharp but not the plane. So i decided my camera (Canon EOS 50D) should make the settings automatically. And the camera choose the F/29. As i said I've tested a lot but only the foreground was sharp. Maybe there is an easier way to get both things sharp...And it was the spot at Runway 18C.

you only get a high depth of focus with a high lens opening value (is small lens opening)So f/29 is not so unusual

Must disagree with that a little, f/29 is unusual. The theory is correct of course, but f/11 would probably have done the trick as well. Anyway, it worked, with a nice steady shot at 1/50 sec.!

To get the star effect on the lights, you have to use a higher Av value. I agree with Key, probably a bit lower would have done the trick as well... Still you managed to get it sharp bothway's..
