It wil be probably moor at this spot like the Ark Royal it"s sister ship when it visited last time.

The way it looks now the ship will not be open to public.
But that can change anytime and will be publiced in local newspapers.

The English Vessel is now underway to the port of Amsterdam.

I did'nt see a chopper onboard, I was standing on the wrong side.

Appx 10.00 local time Aircraft Carrier HMS Illustrious (R06) of the Royal Navy arrived at Amsterdam port. Since I cannot find anything about this visit, and the arrival is also not made public at arrivals at http://www.portofamsterdam.nl" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, I do not know the reason of it's visit. Aftrer troubles in January and February which needed repair (info from Wikipedia) again problems? Who knows more about this?

probably no Seakings on deck?They have a lot of hangarspace for just 2 Seaking,so why leave them out in the open?

The Illustrious left this morning at around 10.05 ,It passed me while I was on the ferry and my camera battery was empty grmmbl No heli"s visible though

Goedemorgen,

Krijg zojuist een telefoontje van een vriend van mij die langs de nieuwe waterweg woont. Op dit moment vaart er een marine fregat uit india de Rotterdamse haven binnen (F37).
Aan boord zijn 2 hangaars. Boven het schip vliegt op dit moment een Allouette 3 met de registratie IN 497.
Mijn gok is dat hij gaat aanmeren bij de Wilhelminapier/ Hotel New York.

Dus voor de liefhebbers........
