Re: Your 'Arty-Farty' pics
You are right, three is not about every topic at this messageboard. That was a bit of an exaggeration. (Actually this is at least the fourth time I saw it here.) Posting the same picture two times in the same topic seems like you are only asking for attention.
As I may quote you: "People are posting pictures just for the sake of contributing, not to show an exceptional picture."
Getting back closer on topic: explaining why you think your picture is arty... I think the real arty ones don't need any words. Isn't that what makes a good picture a good picture after all?
Best regards,
Rogier

Re: Your 'Arty-Farty' pics
the link to NustyR does not really make my clock tick or... , wait, there was one that did, the one with the breaking light, that is special. 10 out of 10.
nice phenonemen, Nice vortex, good angle, great effects.
http://l.yimg.com/www.flickr.com/images/spaceball.gif" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
but sorry not the lanc posted above, nor the chippies by Gus. Close ups of heavy zooming is not 'artifarty' per se.
UNLESS, something is added to the compo-frame to lift it up up from ordinairy to special.
If fact, most I have seen posted here, are not that very very special.
but do keep trying...."Forall Doorgaan" .
a nice entry is indeed this one.

It's not just the nozzle heat blur, its not just the angle, nor the action itself, but it is the compo, shutterspeed and light that makes it outstanding, the compo is enhanced by the water, the beach , the people there and the houses along the far shore line.

What is arty farty for you, might be less for others. That Typhoon shot is nice, but to use your words, not very very special.....(for me).Agfaritsrats wrote: If fact, most I have seen posted here, are not that very very special.

Wow that Eurofighter shot on page 15 is awesome! You can even see the pressure wave coming from the tip. And the Wales Tornado shot is also poster material. Got any more Mark?
I always say a boy can learn more at an airport than at any school.
