Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Re: Luchtmacht opendagen 19/06
Great pics so far!
Haven't been able to process untill now. Hopefully mine of the 19th of June will still contribute enough to show them here:
RNlAF Historic Flight formation
Need I say more ...
Arrival of GR4 late afternoon
Nice c/s of a RAF Hawk
Some other Hawks
And yet another RAF participant, one fo the 2 Typhoons
I've seen better performances of the Spanish, but always and still very nice to see the F18
The same opinion aplies to this year's RNlAF-demo
(also) to JB5, Erik de Bruijn and all others to get this demo to Volkel
And finally the arrival of the Italian NH90 in front of us, wich almost blew our hat away

@all: Awesome shots
but...
In my opinion you have all been beaten by the shots that were made by the two cameramen that were positioned at either end of the runway... (their images were shown on the large video-walls on the premises). I have thoroughly enjoyed the show and their footage!
Regards,
Stefan

Re: Luchtmacht opendagen 19/06
The last time I went to an Open Day of the KLu was fourteen years ago... For some reason I was always out of the country when the shows took place.
This year I was able to make it on Friday and I had a very nice day. These are a small impression of the shots I took. Hope you like them!
Close up of the cockpit of this A-10:
The Greeks dispatched this weird looking F-16 to Volkel:
Not as spectacular as the demo teams, but a nice display nevertheless of the French solo Alpha Jet:
The Viper team was also nice! These Jet Provosts were all painted in great colors:
Great colors on the solo display RAF Hawk:
The Typhoon during it's powerfull take-off:
The Turkish Stars were great again, especially their commentator "Fan Rechtz"!:
Arriving non-stop from the Paris Air Show was this NH-90 of the Italian Navy:
Great looking tail on the J-008:
Splendid colors on the KLu F-16 Solo Display:
Always a treat to see the Patrouille de France:
Nice to see this EF-18 from Spain:
Not as nicely colored as the Dutch one, but still nice colors on a F-16 from Belgium:
The little CASA 101's from the Spanish demoteam:
Never seen a King Air doing an air display, but the little plane made some nice moves:
The "Reds" are truely masters in acrobatic flying:
And of course, the spectacular Vulcan bomber! What a plane, what a sound!:
Well, that's all folks!
Cheers!

Re: Luchtmacht opendagen 19/06
@ Key: Thanks for the nice comment.
Some more:
2. Turkish Stars
3. Spiral
4. Going up...
5. Quality too low to show large, but still a nice moment to catch I think
6. Some reds action
7.
8.
9. More Vulcan action, definately a highlight!
10. Banking overhead directly after take off
11. Another one
12. Turning on the runway to back track to it's parking spot
13. Golden oldie (although silver would be more approriate in this case)
14. Alphajet head on
15. Another favorite airplane, indeed too bad it was only on static, but good to see it none the less
A big "Thank You!" to anyone who helped organise these days.
Greetz,
Hans.
