Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

some of mine, not the best quality from my fuji s5700 but i'm quitte happy with the results!
i am looking around for a DSLR does anyone know a camera under 1000 euro's which has good properties for shooting aircraft i'm thinking of a canon EOS 500D or a nikon D90 or something (is there a topic for this kind of info, thanks!)
this one really has a musculous look! i like it!
they parked right in front of us:
my own practical training heli (does any one know if this one is from heer? if it is it must have been flown with the BO-105's i worked on)
my near future workfloor (one of the best lokking heli's flying around)
i'm impressed by the huge tail:
the J-620 from springfield (this one is a rare sight in holland i think?)
turn and burn:

Your right, I was also really surprised when I saw on my screen....it was a very short moment when u could see it, as one two pictures I could see it and then it was boomkiwi wrote:Glad someone got that! I saw it but it happened just after I decided to just watch and enjoy the rest of the demo instead of take pictures. I was thinking for a split second: euh what I still don't hear it. And immediately all the sound came at once and I saw the vapors! Great thing to seezapata742 wrote:@all
Wow there are so many nice images here, its hard to choose the best one.....
Here is my #1 image of the whole event.....
It shows one the last flights of this Spanish EF-18 Hornet demo pilot, when he almost broke the soundbarrier during his fly-by - so what u think?
I was surprised when I saw the shockwaves on my camera screen, and never expect such a photo in Volkel either in Miramar or Oceana:-)
More to come as I have to sort out a few 1000 images, after three days in a row on tour for aviation images : Florennes , and Volkel two days.
Cheers

I know it is the topic of 19/06, but wasn't it on Saturday that the Spanish F-18 almost broke the soundbarrier?
Re: Luchtmacht opendagen 19/06

Nope, cause I have the almost same photo, taken on Friday.
Re: Luchtmacht opendagen 19/06
Now that I think of it, saturday was the day I noticed it! If it almost hit the sound barrier on friday, saturday was even closer because on saturday I actually noticed that the sound of the plane came later and I actually saw the vapors..
