Continental Airlines plans to reduce its 2x/day frequency on AMS-EWR to 1x/daily earlier then normal (winter schedule), it will now commence starting Tuesday 15 September;

- AMS dep. 09:15 - EWR arr. 11:40 757 CO 103 Non-Stop until 14 September
- AMS dep. 09:15 - EWR arr. 11:40 762 CO 103 Non-Stop from 15 September
- AMS dep. 10:10 - IAH arr. 13:30 777 CO 59 Non-Stop
- AMS dep. 13:20 - EWR arr. 15:50 762 CO 71 Non-Stop until 14 September

Delta/Northwest are planning the following aircraft changes from September:

Amsterdam - Mumbai DL 767 03SEP09 new = NW 332 daily

The Indonesian Minister of Transportation expects that the EU ban of 4 Indonesian carriers will dissapear in 2 weeks, we'll wait and see if they make it ... When the ban is finished the return of Garuda can be expected quite soon (depending organisation )

Belavia to open Amsterdam route

Belarussian flag-carrier Belavia is to open services to Amsterdam Schiphol next month.

The airline will serve the Minsk-Amsterdam-Minsk route three times per week from 10 August.

Belavia will use Boeing 737-500 and Bombardier CRJ aircraft on the route.

The British Airways CityFlyer Embraer E170 services to AMS will replace BAe RJ100's as follows:

Clickair and Vueling are now fully merged into one airline called VUELING - the third largest European Low Cost Airline. Since last week no Clickair flights are operated to AMS as all flights are now VY:

Air Arabia vanaf augustus non-stop van Casablanca naar Schiphol

CASABLANCA - Air Arabia opent een rechtstreekse lijndienst van Casablanca naar Schiphol. De Marokkaanse tak van de Arabische prijsvechter vliegt met ingang van 3 augustus drie keer per week op deze route met een Airbus A320. Vanaf 24 augustus wordt de frequentie opgevoerd tot vier vluchten per week.

Amsterdam is de achtste bestemming voor Air Arabia (Maroc), dat pas onlangs de vluchtoperaties opstartte. De maatschappij is een dochteronderneming van het in Sharjah ( Verenigde Arabische Emiraten) gevestigde Air Arabia.
Air Arabia (Maroc) biedt momenteel directe vluchten van thuisbasis Casablanca naar Londen, Marseille, Brussel (Charleroi), Parijs, Lyon, Milaan en Barcelona.

Air Arabia Maroc is een LCC... Daar komen dit soort tijden wel vaker voor en gezien het tijdstip op AMS is het best haalbaar (k heb wel snellere omdraaien mee gemaakt en niet alleen van LCC)

Ja, maar we hebben het wel over vluchten van/naar Marokko, weet niet of je daar wel eens ervaring mee hebt gehad?

Wie gaat Air Arabia Maroc afhandelen btw? Ik hoop dat zulke LCC vluchten ook LCC baggage met zich meebrengen.

Delta/Northwest is further reducing its operations at Amsterdam in September.

From 1 September the B757-200 operation to JFK dep. 08.05 will be cancelled, while the last NW/DL B757-200 flight departing at 08.15 to Boston will be cancelled from 8 September.
