Amberley (YAMB) - 2009 MIL

Post by Oscar Pluimer »

Log RAAF Amberley 23-07-2009

Dear all,

Yesterday I spent a day along the fence at RAAF Amberley. A beautiful day with unfortantly no flying activities. Halfway the day mp asked my passport details, but besides that I didn't have any problems and could just stay were I was.
During the day I saw the following on the ground:

2x F-111
1x B737AEW&C N3618BJ
4x C-17, confirmed by a lady who works on the airfield that all of them were Australian.

The lady also told me that F-111's flying were really rare and that they hardly fly anymore.
As far as not know yet: the first Super Hornets are due to arrive the last quarter of this year.

Best Regards,
Oscar Pluimer
