Re: Warsaw Pact photos - pre 1990 only
Hi Robert !
Great shots.....again ! Thanks for sharing.
I vividly remember that one of my fellow Valkenburg spotters had photos of the MiG-23's at Reims. I could only dream to have taken photos from Russian aircraft. In 1987 I saw video material from the first Russian MiG-29's in Finland, and again I was baffled by the sight. So imagine my jump for joy when the very first Red Star that I ever photographed was a MiG-25U, landing at Werneuchen, on Thursday morning 27 September 1990. I will never forget the day....
The most impressive Red Star Day must have been 10 July 1992, at Stargard-Klucewo. Check out a few results from that day....
Please keep the memories coming.
Iwan

I can imagine your impressions at Klucewo in 1992.
I seen my first operational Su-27 in 1995 only....
Thanks for the share of these shots.
pre Su-27 the 159.gv.iap. was MiG-21SM(T) operator for 18 years.

Thank you for your interest for our history
I can promise for the readers >
- None any own ideas, conclusions from me in the book - ONLY pilots-talk, documents, photos...
- All photos in the book are never before published shots, straight from Russian & ex-WP pilots & techs, 80% in colour, good quality scans of original slides & negatives.
(and I worked with translator, not with my basic-English )
