From a source within SLM:

A340 will replace the B743.

A340 due 1st week November 2009.
B743 Phase-out 2nd week November 2009.

The B743 is apparently for sale.

The British Airways CityFlyer Embraer E170 services to AMS will replace BAe RJ100's as follows:

Route Flight Days Effective

London City - Amsterdam - LCY
- BA8453/8454 Mon-Fri from 28 September 2009
- BA8455/8456 Mon-Fri from 12 January 2010
- BA8457/8450 Mon-Fri from 12 January 2010

And the Embraer 190 will operate from 15 April 2010:

London City - Amsterdam - LCY
- BA8451/8452 Mon-Fri from 15 April 2010

Small note; the first E170 returned from REC to SJK due to birdstrike so not yet deliverd; #2 is expected to be delivered soon as well.

First flight will be LCY-EDI, then LCY-AMS.

Here's a picture I took of the delivery flight, departure at Sao Jose dos Campos.



More E-170's should be deliverd pretty soon. No.2 is already complete, No.3 also and no.4 was in the painting bay this week. By 2010 all ARJ's will have left the BA fleet.
