143.575 DCS054
Today communication at 143.575 FM with DCS054.
English talking with now and then a kind of Entropia sound.
Received in Alphen aan den Rijn with a UBC3500xlt scanner
and a JPole antenna at 3 meters. Today good conditions from the south.
At the ,,Scannerforum,, they are talking about a Geilenkirchen frequency.
Can anybody tell me more about this ?

Re: 143.575 DCS054
No, only FM.
Here a part of the topic at ,,Scannerforum,, from a few months ago:
Op dit moment hoor ik steeds een signaal op 143.575 .
Er word luchtvaart doorgestuurd maar het word in FM uitgezonden en soms blijft het signaal tussen de doorgangen staan dus ik ga uit van een piraat die een andere frequentie door zit te sturen.
Het signaal is hier in geleen vrij hard (9 plus 10 db op de geijkte meter van de r8500) , iemand uit de omgeving die dit ook ontvangt ??.
(Sorry for the Dutch)
And what about the DCS054 ?

AFAIK 'DCS' should be the civil company Daimler Chrysler Aviation, callsign 'Twin Star', http://www.dc-aviation.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.Janos wrote: And what about the DCS054 ?

Re: 143.575 DCS054
DCS054 was in the display of the scanner next to the frequency, something like tone-code.
So I think it's not a company. It's a kind of digital something.

Hi, this freq is also used at ETNG for startup clearance and taxi approaval.
The way i receive it at home ( near former ETUR ) looks like they use it as a ground freq.
Its remarceble that is in de NFM mode .

This is a new Geilenkirchen frequency for me. What is the official discription, so I can program it in my scanner.ETURSPOTTER wrote:Hi, this freq is also used at ETNG for startup clearance and taxi approaval.

Re: 143.575 DCS054
143,400 is the secondary approach or departure frequency, never heard of 143,57. If it is from glk, comms have to be in AM. Besides that, 143,4 isn't in use that very often anymore. 123,72 is used most of the times for approaches or departures. To my opinion to 'ease' the russian planes which aren't able to use the higher am frequencies above 138.
