At several positions along the fence.57HEAVY wrote:Where did you stand?r.e.hendriks wrote: We had an ID-check by two very friendly Gendarmes. No problem, all day long!!!
First close to spot 2 (Scramble Guide) and later spot 1, close to the fence.
Pilots waving friendly, farmers waving friendly, gendarmes friendly....are we in France????
OK, just one quick shot for today...
Unfortunately the weather didn't coop today. When we arrived at the hotel, the sun came through.
Since then, sky is clear....lets hope we have this weather tomorrow.
Best regards, Rob.

Nice picture, how big were your stairs to get over the fence?
Would love to know, since we are having some troubles how to fit in our car with ladders

We had a great 2 days, indeed no trouble there! Wished that was the case at every airbase in France.
Concerning our earlier question, about the newly coded Army Gazelles. Having read the Military News section in the latest Scramble edition (especially the subscript with the Gazelle-picture and the updates on page 65), may I safely presume the serials are the following:
4205/GPB and 4118/GEA ?

According the article in the Scramble only the SA.342L1 are in running order.DJMikey wrote:We had a great 2 days, indeed no trouble there! Wished that was the case at every airbase in France.

So, then 4205 would be GEA.
However, the SA.342M are not in running order, so 4118 is just guessing.
We just have to hope for a quick update.

Can anyone help us with the serial of the Mirage III near the fire department??
There's also a Mirage 2000 (with special tail) visible in between the hangars, any for the serial??
Best regards, Rob

Can anyone tell me how the attitude towards scanners is? Are the Gendarmes also okay on that, or is it best to leave the scanner at home?

Of course I meant the other way around, mixed the 2 up. But you're m8, it's guessing. Hopefully someone can shine a clear light on this.r.e.hendriks wrote:According the article in the Scramble only the SA.342L1 are in running order.DJMikey wrote:We had a great 2 days, indeed no trouble there! About scanners. As we didn't have those with us, I couldn't tell for sure. But, if I do remember correctly scanners are forbidden in France. If I were you I wouldn't test things out eventhough the Gendarmes we met were very kind.
